Hopefully the Third Time is a Charm!

I really want to keep this blog going. It's a great way to keep a record of everything the boys have been doing. The boys turned 1 on Jan 14, and I really just can not believe it. They have gotten so much bigger! Apparently they have finally hit the 5th percentile for their weight. But I guess when you combine their height and weight they are very proportional, or so the nurse says. They were weighed on Friday and Oliver is up to 19lbs and Owynn is at 18lbs & 12 oz. That is a gain of 2lbs and 1 & 1/2lbs in the course of a month! They are mostly in 9 month clothes now. Although their torsos are really long and I think they can probably get away with 12 month shirts. I finally found jeans for the boys that fit really well. Their problem always is that they need long pants, but to get the length the waist is always so big. Target's brand Circo makes baby jeans with elastic waist bands and they are fantastic! The pants are the perfect length and they don't fall down! I bought a pair for each of the boys for Christmas. Once we get our tax refund I plan on going back to Target and getting some more.

The boys have been doing so many new things! By the beginning of December Oliver was working on his 4 front teeth. We finally noticed Owynn's first tooth on Dec. 8. Owynn is now working on his two bottom teeth and one on the top. Oliver has become such a sweetheart. He loves to give everyone big hugs and kisses, his gives kisses by usually eating your nose. Before Christmas Owynn fell asleep on the floor and Oliver crawled over to him, looked at him, gave him a kiss, then crawled away. It was so super cute. Now he gives Owynn hugs a lot. Both the boys can walk now while holding our fingers or while pushing toys around. Oliver will stand on his own without holding onto anything, and he actually took his first steps during his birthday party! Owynn has finally started calling me Mama, although he only does it when he's really upset and crying.
Well it's bedtime, here's to hoping I can keep us with his.
