About the DoubleOTwins Family

Hi! Welcome to DoubleOTwins, my name is Jessica and I am a wife, mother, daughter, blogger, lover of books, and all things Disney.  I currently live in Nebraska, am married to my wonderful husband John, and am Mummy to my adorable twin boys Owynn and Oliver.  I grew up in Massachusetts and am in love with all things New England.  I work full time outside the home, while John is an awesome stay at home Dad.  Here at DoubleOTwins I want to share the joys and challenges of parenthood, life, and all the different hats I wear.

     John and I met while participating in the Disney College Program in 2003.  We got married a year later, and in January 2011 our (fraternal) twin sons were born.  John is a huge KC Chiefs and Royals fan, enjoys video games, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, along with all things Joss Whedon (because Mr. Whedon is a genius).  John and I bonded over our mutual love of Buffy when we met for the first time.

Owynn (right) and Oliver (left) are such little sweeties, you know, when they aren't getting into everything.  They have already started to develop a love of both reading and music.  I think the fact that we have begun a good collection of storybooks for them and read to them daily helps quite a bit.  They also love cartoons, we may or may not watch way too much of The Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and The Hub (oh man do we all love the Hub!)  Everyone's  favorite cartoon (literally all of us) by far is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.  Yes it's target audience is little girls, but everyone can appreciate the humor and life lessons learned each episode (seriously check it out).
